My father and mother moved to your community some 14 years ago and were proud to call it home.  My mother passed away over six years ago, and with my father nearly 87, last year I decided it was time for him to move closer to family here in New Hampshire.

I interviewed a number of Realtors and selected Terry and Beth Stonebrook of Coldwell Banker in Green Valley.

I could not imagine a more satisfactory business relationship than the one we have had with Terry and Beth, which has caused me to write you this letter.

Living across the country as I do, it was critically important for me to have a true professional, someone I could trust and rely on in working with my father.  This was true, not just because of my remoteness, but also because my father is at an age where he could have easily been vulnerable to someone who did not hold his interests first.

To begin with, they were keenly attuned to the changes in the local real estate market.  As a result, we were able to realize well over $30,000 more than other Realtors were even prepared to list the property for.

However, listing price was not my principal criterion in selecting them.  They were true professionals who conveyed both confidence and competence.  They identified and coordinated work by trades people to address items identified in a pre-listing, home inspection (a novel idea which they suggested), communicated consistently and effectively regarding important developments, and worked creatively to solve problems and repeatedly performed many of the functions that my father (or I) should have performed in selling the property.

More importantly, they treated my father (and me) as part of their extended family.  At every step of the way, I knew that they had my father’s best interests at heart, which was a great comfort to me.

There must be many families in situations such as ours, where there is a need to move a parent or parents based in Green Valley closer to their children who live remotely.  Absolutely no one could provide better service than what we received from Terry and Beth Stonebrook.
